Final Project- Coral Reefs

The oceans are a big passion in my life. Hopefully in the future I will be about to help project them and save them for human pressures. Research that I would love to do in the future is on corals and how we can help rebuild them back to there abundance. Unfortunately, that could take years, corals take thousands or even millions of years to grow to the large reefs we see today. But, thanks to our practices we are killing these beautiful creatures so fast however, they can only rebuild slowly.  The purpose of this project was to show how largely coral reefs make an impact on the ecosystem and how they are important for our survival. Hopeful after watching this video you see how lifeless the ocean becomes after coral reefs are bleached.

Artists Statement: "Are you wearing a masks?" is the performance art pieces I did for this project. People should think about what kinds of theoretical masks they put up to the outside world. We all have them no matter is big are small. Everyone shields who they really are at first until you gain enough trust to show who you are.
