Xerox Body Project- Mixed Emotions

Emotions are apart of everyones lives daily. People have so many different emotions and they are can change very quickly. That is what this piece represents and why I chose expressionism because his art form shows exaggerated emotions. I have had some anxiety problems in the past and my emotions were all over the place. The different facial expressions in a circle represent that there is a consent rotation of emotional. A never ending circle of fluctuating emotions throughout the day which sometimes we can not control.  The meaning of the hands around the faces represents reaching out and trying to have someone help you get out of the cycle of emotions to be happy, not lost and all over the place. I tried to fix the lines when the scans printed but it wouldn't work but then this turned into something meaningful. The lines to me looked like jail bars which make me think about hoe sometimes I felt trapped in confusing and sadness and could never break out unless I have help from others.

Artists Statement: "Are you wearing a masks?" is the performance art pieces I did for this project. People should think about what kinds of theoretical masks they put up to the outside world. Flipbook Project- The Poison Apple

The inspiration for the flip book came from the book that I used. I am a huge disney person so when I went to buy a book a book about the Evil Queen stood out to me. Since the book was about The Evil Queen from Snow White I decided to go with a poison apple theme.

Final Project- Coral Reefs

The oceans are a big passion in my life. Hopefully in the future I will be about to help project them and save them for human pressures. Research that I would love to do in the future is on corals and how we can help rebuild them back to there abundance. Unfortunately, that could take years, corals take thousands or even millions of years to grow to the large reefs we see today. But, thanks to our practices we are killing these beautiful creatures so fast however, they can only rebuild slowly.  The purpose of this project was to show how largely coral reefs make an impact on the ecosystem and how they are important for our survival. Hopeful after watching this video you see how lifeless the ocean becomes after coral reefs are bleached.
